Remote - East Coast, USA | Sales Team | Full-Time

This position involves developing and cultivating relationships with new and existing customers, identifying and pursuing new sales leads, and working within a team to develop targeted sales strategies. The Territory Sales and Support Manager is also responsible for providing excellent customer service and technical support, tracking all customer interactions, feedback, and complaints, and having a high-level of industry involvement: i.e. attending conferences to promote the company's products, finding speaking opportunities, setting up/attending brewing collaborations, and supporting local associations/committees. Through these efforts, the Territory Sales and Support Manager has a significant impact on driving growth of sales, increasing customer satisfaction, and establishing Berkeley Yeast as the leading innovator in the beer industry.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers within assigned territory, along with developing and cultivating relationships with existing customer accounts
  • Assist in the development of territory-specific sales strategy
  • Identify sales leads and potential partnerships and follow through sales pipeline to close deals
  • Actively seek out, organize, and participate in brewery collaborations
  • Provide excellent customer service and technical support
  • Track all customer activities, feedback, and complaints using Berkeley Yeast’s CRM
  • Travel to prospect accounts, existing customers, and industry conferences / events
  • Travel up to 50% of the time - this is a remote position
  • Collaborate with marketing and R&D to develop new technical content / resources, when needed
  • Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice


Required Qualifications

  • Experience and/or knowledge of fermentation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and change direction frequently and sometimes unexpectedly
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Three excellent professional references


Highly Desired Qualifications

  • Prior brewing experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science / Fermentation or other Brewing Certificates
  • Familiarity with HubSpot and Google Suite (Email, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc)
  • Prior sales and customer service experience


Compensation and Benefits

  • Compensation range: $60,000-100,000 plus up to $30,000 bonus per year
